African Foundation for Sustainable Development

Africa Foundation for Sustainable Development (AFSD), is a sister concern, of the All Africa Foundation, founded in 2010, having its footprints in South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia. The Organization is aligned with the principles of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the National Development Plan of South Africa, focusing its efforts, on implementing the sustainable development strategies in communities and societies, impacted through the commercial mining operations.

Africa Foundation for Sustainable Development (AFSD), is a member of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), Civil Society Organizations (CSO) network, and has been implementing the GEF mandate, to enable global benefits in South Africa. AFSD is also working, within the ambit of international conventions, such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the Minamata Convention on Mercury in African Regions.

Africa Foundation for Sustainable Development (AFSD), is currently working in the areas of greenfield projects, renewable energy, agricultural sectors and gender equality, socio-economic development, through Small, Medium and Micro
enterprises (SMMEs) in the mining areas.

Everain Global Services partner with AFSD to provide consulting services, exchange of learning & experiences and sharing of resources in the Central African region and India.
