Mr. Walia, who was previously serving, during 2015, as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wild Life) and the Chief Wildlife Warden (H.P), is an environmental and forestry enthusiast, both as a Conservationist and learner, with more than 36 years of career experience, in the Indian Forest Service Office, in Himachal Pradesh (North–West Himalayas), India. A product of IIT Kanpur, he has handled Integrated Natural Resources Management and Strategic Project Planning and Execution, with reference to its inception and design, ground level working, capacity build-up and training, monitoring and execution and networking. He has worked actively, towards integrating ecosystem services (assessment and valuation) into policy, planning and practice. He has also done project appraisal and management, to foster development assistance, through international co-operation and has spear-headed marketing of forest produce and promoted business opportunity for sustainable products and raised awareness, promoted sustainable livelihood options for poverty alleviation and catalyzed improved community participation, thereby spurring rural development. He works towards Improved interaction with other development institutions, private sector, NGOs and civil society in general, and is particularly, interested in Soil and Water Conservation methodology with special emphasis on bio-engineering. Alongside, he is also a master trainer and educator in the field of Environment and Forestry.


Dr. Andy Sharp

Dr. Sharp is an independent environmental consultant with particular expertise in energy efficiency, emissions reduction and environmental education. He has a degree in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford, a Doctorate in Physiology from the University of Bristol, a Certificate of Education from Garnett College London and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law in York. In the past he has worked as a medical researcher, in both the UK and the USA, and as a lecturer and teacher of mathematics, physics and other science in a number of UK colleges of further education. He became involved in the auditing of greenhouse gas emissions when, as their first Technical Executive, he helped establish Africa’s first Designated Operational Entity (company accredited to validate and verify projects under the Clean Development Mechanism) and was their external representative at the UNFCC in Bonn. He is an accredited lead auditor in Environmental Management Systems and has recently developed teaching materials on the Alliance for Water Stewardship.

Mr. Kumar is an environmentalist and a social activist; previously associated with IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited, Environment and Safety Division, serving as an Environmental Manager. Before this, Mr. Kumar was associated with Scientific Certification Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Noida, India, as a Deputy Manager, in the Natural Resources Division, working as an expert on Climate Change Services, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Forestry Management (FM) Certification, Controlled Wood (CW) Certification and Chain of Custody (CoC) Certification and also Program Manager of VRIKSH-Timber Legality Assessment and Verification Scheme. While working with Carbon Check (Pty) Ltd, Johannesburg, South Africa, a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) accredited company, he got more than 5 years of experience, in several projects, under EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment), waste management-----37 projects registered under UNFCCC and more than 45 projects under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard (GS) as Validator, Verifier and Technical Expert, based out of South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, DR Congo and Uganda. Mr. Kumar holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Sciences, from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environment and Water Management from A.N. College Patna. He is also an IRCA Certified Lead Auditor under the ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14064 Standards and Social Carbon, Brazil.

Mr. Goryashin is Principal Specialist at Department of Project Development, Russia since 2008 is specialized in Flexibility mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol, carbon mapping, development of JI and CDM projects, GHG emissions inventories, energy analysis of building heating systems. Goryashin has received his Diploma in Financial Management, specialising in Finances and Credit from All- Rusian State Distance Institute of Finance and Economics, a master’s degree in Heat Power Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Heat and Power Engineering from Arkhangelsk State Technical University. He has long trail of successful energy credit projects as Principal Specialist with Energy Department and Project Development Department, CCGS LLC Moscow and as a Joint Investigator with Camco International, Moscow as his recent assignments. Gorsyashin has successfully accomplished audits and validation of over twenty five different projects based in Russia, South Africa and The Republic of Macedonia.

Mr. Rajdeep, is a Forestry & Sustainability professional, has been in the Forestry and its allied sectors for the past four years. Previously he was engaged with SCS India Pvt. Ltd. a subsidiary of SCS Global Services-California. He has led a number of projects related to forestry, climate change, sustainability and auditing across India, particularly in North-East regions. He has worked on various national and international programmes such as Green India Mission, CAMPA, Project Elephant, Climate Change Adaptation in NER etc. with state forest departments and international agencies. He has completed his post-graduation in Environment Management from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and PGD- Environmental Law and Policy National Law University, Delhi. He is also an IRCA certified lead auditor under the ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 19011:2002 standards.

Ms. Munhequete is a serial entrepreneur, with extensive experience in the hospitality arena underpinned by training in Germany and South Africa, and born in Mozambique. Of great excitement has been the performance of the Africa Foundation for Sustainable Development (AFSD), Mozambique, which was set up with her own capital and resources. This phenomenal achievement is only possible due to her commitment and energy. AFSD provided mentoring and coaching over a three year period while establishing AFSD, to development professionals with cross-disciplinary experience in project Coordination, Human resource (Training and Recruitment), project execution at the field level. In the capacity of community-based organizations, she has been appointed as the Global Environmental Facility’s Country Contact Point for the Civil Society Network, with a key objective of expanding the CSO network in Mozambique. Having worked mainly for large a hotel chain, her career has spanned the African, European continents and living and working in South Africa and Germany. At the end of 2009 she was invited by the Africa Foundation MD to join the organization and to explore the NGO landscape and founded Africa Foundation for Sustainable Development –(AFSD), a for-profit social enterprise with a view to gain a deeper understanding of the developmental and funding practices within the development field. AFSD’s core business is based on sustainable community development within the mining, renewable energy and agricultural sectors. Dr. Muthulingham received his doctorate degree from department of Ecology and Environmental Science, Central University of Pondicherry, India. Dr. Muthulingham has an expertise in conservation and sustainability of bio-resources, bio-cultural resources/diversity and landscape mapping. He holds a master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Science and bachelor’s in Agricultural Science. After working as a Research Associate with Laboratory for Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES), Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad he is now working with Department of Civil Engineering and National Service Scheme (NSS) Programme Officer at Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology, Salem, Tamilnadu as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Muthulingham has published more than 10 peer reviewed literature and as many in press in reputed forest ecology journal such as Korean Journal of Forest sciences, The Journal of Ethnobotany and Traditional medicine. Journal of Medicinal Plant Research and Journal of Marine animals and their Ecology. Dr. Muthulingam has presented his work in many national and international workshops and symposia.

Aditi is a well accomplished environmental management professional having a huge experience in Environmental and social sustainability, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management and Environmental aided services. As in now, Aditi is chief Operating officer, Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, ACE, London and an advisory member of Everian Global Services. Before this she was associated with Appoco Group (UK), London as a Team Leader ( Smart Metering Accounting) and with Green Cross Society, New Delhi as Environmental Project Manager. Aditi has also served as a Research Associate (Watershed Development and Rural Technology Division) CAPART. Aditi has been a gold medalist top Graduate from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and Department of Environment and Water Management, Magadh University in Environmental Management and Environment and Water Management respectively. During her academia Aditi accomplished her internships with reputated environmental institutions such as Environmental Cell, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, Forest Survey of India, Bihar State Pollution Control Board, Patna.

Mr. Rajamanikam holds a master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Sciences and recently submitted Ph.D. Thesis at Pondicherry University titled “Towards sustainable municipal solid waste management in Puducherry region: assessing the quality and performance of existing practices and exploring the potential for sector based waste management approach”. His Ph.D. research work is an analysis of present MSW generation quantities and compositions at various sources; evaluation of performance of five different MSW management systems using a set of indicators and SWOT and in the light of these findings, a set of recommendations on how to achieve sustainable municipal solid waste management in Puducherry region by integrating/ adopting environmental, economic and socially sustainable MSW models, and for improving/optimizing the existing management system in par with Draft Rules, 2015. In addition to six years’ research experience, he also has 9 years of working experience in Waste management with Shuddham NGO (MSW management in Rajbhavan ward upto 2011) and Ecoservice CBO (MSW management group in Auroville). At present, he is a Guest lecturer at Bharathiyar Palkalaikoodam in Environmental studies for Undergraduate students. He has been committed with "Wetland awareness and conservation" Projects in Puducherry region and implemented CSE Green campus program in Puducherry schools with PondyCAN; closely working with local communities to improve their perception and attitude towards wetland and wildlife resources. He has received CMS Vatavaran Puducherry-Auroville Green Ambassador Award, 2014. He has been a delegate/trainer in countless workshops/seminars and outreach sessions delivering ecological, environmental and MSW management talks.

Ms. Kalia has done her Management Development, in Project Management, from IIM Kolkata. She has also done her PGDM from IILM- Greater Noida. Previously, she was working with the Business Development team at SCS India Pvt. Ltd. for developing FSC CoC Program and VRIKSH Timber Legality and Verification Program, across India and South-East Asia. She has over four years of experience in project management and business development.

Mr. Ahuja is a Legal Practitioner and our Legal Advisor, practicing in the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts/ Tribunals namely National Green Tribunal across the Country. Initially Harsh has graduated in Business Administration, thereafter Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Thereafter Harsh is completed his Bachelorette of Law. He is a dynamic and competent professional with vast years of experience in Business Development and Legal field. Further he has a potential ability to represent clients in complex and challenging environment. Harsh has versatility of cases pertaining to environment and the Legal obligations thereto. Harsh has been Assisting Ministry of Forest and Climate Change, Government of India regarding the carrying capacity i.e. the amount of minerals to be extracted from the Saranda Forest Range, Singbhum District, Jharkhand. Harsh has proficient interpersonal communications in building key alliance and partnership in both Private and Government Sector. Harsh as a Legal Advisor to us provides complete Legal Consultancy and references in various legal proceedings.

Mr. Kushal, a young & enthusiastic Legal Practitioner, associated with Everain Global Services. Mr. Sharma a graduate in Law from Law College Dehradun, further he has perused his Post Graduation Diploma in International Trade and Business Law and he also has a Diploma in Cyber Laws. Mr Kushal deals with the clients on various matters related to the Indian scenario and Legal obligations thereupon. He is practicing in the ‘Apex Court of India’ and various High Courts, Tribunal and Forums situated in India. He is a highly spirited ‘Team Worker’ engages in different Team Management programs. Mr. Kushal has written many articles pertaining to environment and present burden on the same by the legislation. Most recently his article on Disaster Management and Legislative initiatives was published in National Law University, India.

Mr. Bhushan is a leading geologist at RQP, (Consultant, Mines and Mineral), Ranchi, Jharkhand. Before this Mr. Bhushan served as a Temporary Faculty in the Deptartment of Applied Geology at National Institute of Technology, Raipur. He received his M.Tech degree in Petroleum Exploration from Indian Schools of Mines, Dhanbad. Mr. Bhushan also holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Geology from Patna University and a Post Graduation Diploma degree in Banking (PGDB) from Manipal University, Bangalore. He has been awarded CSIR-UGC (NET) Lectureship in 2011 and GATE twice in Geology in year 2015 and in Geophysics in the year 2016 respectively. Being a geologist Mr. Bhushan has successfully accomplished assignments related to Geological Mapping & GPS Survey, Preparation and Updation of Maps for Mining Plans of Minor and Major Minerals, Preparation of Prospecting and Geological Report. Recently he has submitted Form I & Pre - Feasibility Report, Presentations for grant of Environmental Clearance to The SEIAA., Ranchi, Jharkhand. Mr.Bhushan is an expert of Petrel 2009.2, CorelDRAW X5, RockWorks15, ArcGIS 10.2. GCD Tool Kit, AutoCad 2010.
