Preparation of Forest Diversion and DGPS Survey

Project Overview

The project aims to prepare a comprehensive Forest Clearance proposal for obtaining Stage-I and Stage-II approvals under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, for the Song Drinking Water Project in Uttarakhand. The process involves detailed surveys, mapping of the forest areas required for the project, environmental impact assessments, and the development of mitigation and compensatory afforestation plans. All necessary forms and reports will be compiled and submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) to ensure compliance with forest conservation laws, facilitating the development of infrastructure.

Strategic Focus

  • Comprehensive documentation by compiling all required reports, maps, and data related to the forest areas impacted by the project.
  • Conduct a thorough environmental impact assessment and develop robust mitigation strategies, including compensatory afforestation plans.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all statutory requirements under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, aligning the proposal with guidelines provided by the MoEFCC.
  • Effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, to expedite the approval process.
  • Successfully submit the proposal to the MoEFCC, adhering to all statutory requirements and obtaining the necessary clearances for the project.
  • Promote sustainable development by balancing the need for infrastructure with ecological preservation through careful planning and implementation of compensatory and conservation measures.
